PASSION is the second album of Fabio Martino. It was recorded in co-production with SWR in the famous Hans-Rosbaud-Studio in Baden-Baden, Germany. As well as well-known works by Beethoven, Liszt and Schumann, which Fabio Martino interprets in his own special emotional and inspirational manner, it also contains the world première recording of the light, full of temperament and pianistically demanding piece Tico-Tico no fubá arranged by Marc-André Hamelin. Fabio Martino is THE symbiosis of musicality and limelight hog, says the director of the orchestra Badische Staatskapelle Karlsruhe, Mr Axel Schlicksupp. He mesmerizes his audience when he steps onto the stage and has won more than 20 first prices at competitions. Martino's concerts and recitals bring him to big halls around the world and to important Piano Festivals: Berliner Philharmonie; Seoul Arts Center - South Korea; Sala Sao Paulo, Cidade das Artes, Sala Cecilia Meireles - Brazil; Miami International Piano Festival and the Gilmore Festival - USA; Heidelberger Frühling, NDR Radio in Hannover, and at Munich's Gasteig - Germany. The most discerning critics enthusiastically received them all. His ability and his exceptional charisma also took him to various film- and television productions and LIVE recordings among others for the SWR, BR, NDR, TV Globo and the BBC. At the end of 2015 he received two important awards: the critics' prize Discovery of the year for the Variations of Rachmaninoff with OSESP under the internationally renowned conductor Marin Alsop in the Sala Sao Paulo, and the prize awarded by the audience in the category Young Talents. On his new CD Passion you'll experience the full range of the real Fabio Martino at his best. You won't be able to resist the South American charm and exceptional musicality of Fabio Martino.
